Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data is collected when you use this website or the coaching service, why it is collected, and what rights you have over it. It is written to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Antoine Rouquette, trading as The Curve, entrepreneur individuel registered in France under SIRET 984 468 959 00015, Bd Paul Déroulède, Strasbourg, France.

This website sets no cookies
This website loads no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party scripts. Fonts and images are served directly from this domain rather than from an external network. No cookies are set when you browse this page, and no consent banner is therefore needed.
If you click a booking button, you are taken to Calendly's own website in a new tab. From that point Calendly's own privacy policy and cookie practices apply, not this one.
What is collected, and why
When you book an introduction call
Booking is handled by Calendly. When you schedule a call you provide your name, email address, and any information you choose to add in the booking form. This is used solely to arrange and hold the call.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
When you become a coached athlete
Delivering the coaching requires more detail. Depending on what you share, this may include:
- Identity and contact details — name, email, phone number for WhatsApp
- Training data — power, heart rate, duration, GPS files, and session feedback, generally synced through Intervals.icu
- Physiological and body data — test results, resting heart rate, and where you choose to share it, body weight
- Context you tell me about — sleep, fatigue, stress, work and family constraints, illness, and injury
- Billing records required by French accounting law
- Legal basis: performance of the coaching contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), and legal obligation for invoicing records (Art. 6(1)(c)).
Who else processes your data
A small number of services are used to run the coaching. Each acts as a processor and has its own privacy policy:
- Calendly
- Scheduling the introduction call
- Intervals.icu
- Training plans, uploaded activity data, and session feedback
- WhatsApp (Meta)
- Day-to-day messaging and audio notes
- Cloudflare
- Website hosting
Some of these are based outside the European Union. Where data is transferred beyond the EU, those transfers rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising.
How long it is kept
- Booking enquiries that don't become coaching: deleted within 12 months.
- Athlete training data: kept for the duration of the coaching relationship and for up to 3 years afterwards, so that progression can be picked up again if you return. Deleted sooner on request.
- Invoices and accounting records: retained for 10 years, as required by French commercial law.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data held about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data erased, subject to legal retention obligations
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these, email antoine@the-curve.cc. You will receive a response within one month.
If you believe your data has been mishandled, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL, or with the supervisory authority in your own country.
Security
Your data is held in the services listed above, each protected by account credentials and two-factor authentication where offered. Training data is not stored on public or shared drives. No system is completely secure, but access is kept to the minimum necessary — in practice, to me alone.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the service changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes affecting coached athletes will be communicated directly.
